Geelong meals subsidised through an NDIS plan

As part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), some Geelong participants can receive funding to cover most of the cost of home-delivered ready-to-eat meals. This support is included under the ‘Core Supports’ section of an NDIS plan and subsidises the preparation and delivery costs, leaving the participant responsible only for the ingredient portion. Typically, NDIS funding covers around 70% of the total meal cost, with the participant paying the remaining 30%. For customers with a Plan Manager or Support Coordinator, Fed by Jed will invoice them directly to simplify the process. Self-managed participants will receive a compliant invoice they can use to claim the subsidised amount. Geelong residents and those in surrounding areas can access this service and benefit from the NDIS meal subsidy.

5 steps to create an account

To keep things as convenient and stress free as possible, Fed by Jed have created a simple online solution to getting started with meal delivery. It’s a quick and easy 5 step process which you can find outlined in this handy instruction sheet, or detailed below:

1. Create your online account here

2. Go to My Account

3. Go to the NDIS section

4. Select Apply for NDIS and fill in your details

5. PLAN MANAGED:

a. You, Fed By Jed and your Plan Manager will receive a copy of the quote. 

b. The Plan Manager then approves your quote or follows up any issues. 

c. Once approved, you can place an order.

5. SELF MANAGED:

a. You and Fed By Jed will receive a copy of the quote. 

b. You are able to place an order instantly without approval. 

c. The compliant invoice template will be emailed when every order is placed. 

d. You are then able to claim back 70% of the cost of your meal and delivery fee via your online portal.

Once your account is set up, order online anytime via our ordering system, where you can also explore the full rotating menu. Alternatively, place your order by calling 0440 138 481 on Mondays between 12pm and 4pm. Phone orders are accepted only on this dedicated number during that time. Deliveries are made each week on either Monday or Tuesday, depending on your location within our delivery network, including Geelong and surrounding areas.
